Attire Guideline

What will you be wearing when you meet your great-great-grandchildren?

To ensure that your portrait is the epitome of elegance, we suggest that you dress formally for your session.

Classic jewelry, such as diamonds or pearls, is encouraged. Little to no pattern is preferred. For young girls, we recommend a solid-colored dress, preferably with short or no sleeves. Boys can wear an outfit similar to men or a dark sweater. If under 4, a white shirt with a bow tie is appropriate. If cultural clothing or clothing related to an activity such as dance or horseback riding is important to you, feel free to wear it.

If you must dress casually, please keep in mind that timeless, solid-colored clothing is preferred, and your face and eyes should remain the focal point of the portrait. We look forward to meeting you soon!

For many, this portrait will become a cherished keepsake for a lifetime, and we want it to be as perfect as possible.

To maximize the effect of lighting on your face and eyes, we recommend dark clothing for both gentlemen and ladies. A dark suit or tuxedo is the ideal choice for gentlemen, paired with a white shirt that can be worn with or without a tie. For ladies, we suggest a dark or jewel-toned gown with sleeves that will accentuate your face.
